Have you ever thought of putting Blueberries and Cinnamon in your brussels sprouts recipe?! If not, you’re in for a real treat! I want to share the recipe with you but I also ALWAYS want to empower you to play with the ratios of the seasonings. Maybe make the recipe exactly as written the first time and then play with it in a different way the next time. There’s so much power in learning what YOUR taste buds like and then also taking notice of how they change over time as you try new things. So let’s get to this recipe already!
Ingredients:
Brussels Sprouts (halved and quartered for bigger sprouts)
1 T Coconut Oil
1/2 T Cinnamon
1/3 cup frozen Blueberries
1 T Coconut Aminos
1/2 t fresh grated Ginger
Salt & Pepper to taste
Heat Coconut Oil in your pan over medium heat. Add in brussels and season with salt and pepper. Let cook for 3 minutes before adding in the Cinnamon, Coconut Aminos and fresh Ginger. Cover and let cook an additional 3 minutes. Uncover and add in your frozen Blueberries. Check the tenderness of your brussels at this point and allow them to cook an extra 2-3 minutes or so. VOILA!
I think blog posts are a lot more intricate than this when I’m typically looking up the recipes but true to my style, I like to be simple. That is it! Like I said, play with ratios of ingredients. If you have a larger batch of brussels, maybe add an extra dollop of coconut oil or another dash of cinnamon. If you don’t have fresh grated ginger, use 1/4 tsp of ground ginger. No biggy if you don’t have that, leave it out. I love options and I plan to forever give all the options for you when I share things I love. Taste along the way and enjoy making this DELICIOUS recipe! I’d love it if you make it, leave a comment and let me know!
Yall have an amazing day!
Blessings,
